How to Seed a Pomegranate
Seeding a pomegranate can be hard and tiring for some, as it may take hours and can stain clothes with red juice. There are several methods for seeding pomegranates, either in water or by hand using simple tools.SelMagzHere, we will discuss three very easy ways to seed the fruitpomegranate:
1. Tapping the Backof the fruitwith a spoon
This method is one of the easiest ways to seed a pomegranate and takes only a few minutes. First, make a shallow cut around the fruit with a sharp knife, being careful not to cut the seeds. Cut the fruit in half, hold one half with the cut side facing your hand, and then tap the back of the fruit with a spoon until all the seeds fall into your hand. You can then remove the white parts attached to the seeds.
2. Seeding in a Bowl of Water
In this method, just like the previous one, make a shallow cut around the pomegranate with a knife to avoid damaging the seeds. After splitting the fruit in half, place them in a bowl of water and gently press the back of the fruit to release the seeds. The white skins will float on the water, making them easy to collect and dispose of.
3. Using the Traditional Method
This method takes a little longer but is commonly used more than the others.
In this method, just like the others, make a cut around the fruit with a knife, split the fruit in half with your hands, and gently start removing the seeds without rushing, separating them from the white parts of the fruit.
