He moved with his mother from the north to the east of France, from Vernon to Rouen, at age 6 to learn football from his uncle, Samba. He started his youth career in 2004 at the club Mouloudia de Rouen and stayed till 2009, then joined OGC Nice at age 12 in 2009 and played there until 2010.
