To reach the waterfall, you must pass through the Gruobar valley. This valley contains ancient trees, such as the Aress andwalnut treeswhich are several hundred years old, with some having a diameter of up to 14 meters.

The area is rich with historical sites like old grinding stones and numerous graves that hold cultural heritage significance, as it was once a trading hub for the locals.

How to access Aynehroud Waterfall

Aynehroud Waterfall is less than 60 kilometers from Tehran and is located 2 kilometers northeast of Damavand city. To reach the waterfall from Tehran, take the Tehran-Pardis highway and pass through the Bumehen beltway to arrive at “Gilanvand,” and then Damavand city. Make your way to the Rouh Afza neighborhood and proceed into Rouh Afza gorge. Turn left onto Shahid Beheshti Boulevard, pass through four intersections, and enter Shahid Boulevar. At the end of this boulevard, choose the street on the right, which leads you away from the city and towards the waterfall. After traveling 2 kilometers on a dirt road, park your vehicle and take a 1-kilometer hike to your left, heading north through the gorge and alongside the water to reach Aynehroud Waterfall.

If you are coming from Semnan or Garmsar, you can reach Damavand city via the Semnan-Firozkouh road or the Ivankhi-Abasard-Damavand road and enter Shahid Beheshti Boulevard on your right.

If you do not have a personal vehicle and wish to use the subway, take Line 2 of the metro, get off at the last station (Farhangsara station), then take a taxi to Damavand city for direct transport to the waterfall.
