Peyam Niazgvand, currently the goalkeeper for Sepahan Isfahan and the Iran national football team, was born on April 6, 1995, in Fardis, Karaj. He grew up in a small family with a older sister who is an English teacher.

Peyam began playing football at clubs in Karaj from a young age. In 2008, at 13 years old, he learned from his coach that Paykan Tehran was holding trials for youth players. Peyam was selected from hundreds of candidates and that same year helped the club’s youth team win the Tehran championship.
His performance as goalkeeper at Paykan led the Iranian youth national team coach to invite him to national camp. After establishing himself as a goalkeeper, in 2016, trusting in his talent, coach Davood Fenayi made him the first-choice goalkeeper for Paykan, replacing Rahman Ahmadi. In his first season in the Persian Gulf Pro League, he kept 8 clean sheets in 22 matches.
