Peyam Niazgvand, currently the goalkeeper for Sepahan Isfahan and the Iran national football team, was born on April 6, 1995, in Fardis, Karaj. He grew up in a small family with a older sister who is an English teacher.

His sister’s encouragement led him to study English translation at Azad University, although his professional football career caused interruptions in his education. Peyam began playing football at clubs in Karaj from a young age. In 2008, at 13 years old, he learned from his coach that Paykan Tehran was holding trials for youth players. Peyam was selected from hundreds of candidates and that same year helped the club’s youth team win the Tehran championship.
His performance as goalkeeper at Paykan led the Iranian youth national team coach to invite him to national camp. After establishing himself as a goalkeeper, in 2016, trusting in his talent, coach Davood Fenayi made him the first-choice goalkeeper for Paykan, replacing Rahman Ahmadi. In his first season in the Persian Gulf Pro League, he kept 8 clean sheets in 22 matches.

The consistent presence of Niazgvand as goalkeeper at Paykan led to his transfer in June 2018, as the first signing under coach Amir Ghalenoei for Sepahan Isfahan. His transfer proved successful as he contributed to the team finishing as runner-up in the league in his first season.
In the 2020-2021 season, Niazgvand set a record of 940 minutes without conceding a goal, becoming the clean sheet leader in Iran’s Premier League, surpassing legends like Ahmad Reza Abedzadeh, Nasser Hejazi, and Alireza Beiranvand.
