Masoudieh Mansion, Baharestan
The Masoudieh mansion is one of the historical buildings that remain from old Tehran and the Qajar era. In this garden, there are seven mansions connected by courtyards. Notable buildings include the Divan house, dining mansion, and the pool house, along with others from the Pahlavi era. These structures were registered as national heritage in 1998.
The Masoudieh mansion, Negarstan Garden, Lalehzar Garden, and Sardar Irvani Garden were all established in the north of the tahmasebi wall during the Nasir al-Din Shah era. The Masoudieh mansion is located at Baharestan square, southwest side, on Ekbatan Street.
Kazemi House, Old Tehran, Chaleh Meydan
Kazemi mansion, or “House Museum of Old Tehran,” is one of the old houses located in the Chaleh Meydan area near Imam Zadeh Yahya. If you love to see Iranian old architecture and miss old Tehran, visit Kazemi House. This area features several other ancient sites, including the Imamzadeh, a centuries-old tree, the Nobab Bathhouse, Shahid Modarres’ house, and Khoosheh’s house.

Firdows Garden is an old garden and mansion situated in the northern part of Valiasr Street, close to Tajrish Square. Dizin is located 74 kilometers from Karaj city and 123 kilometers from Tehran along the Chalus road. Established in 1969, Dizin is one of the world’s most famous ski resorts and is located six kilometers from the village of Valayatrud. It holds the distinction of being the first ski resort in Iran to gain international status.
Tehran Toboggan
The Darband toboggan is situated in the northern part of Tehran in Golabdar Park. After Jamshidieh, it is the highest park in the capital. The Tehran toboggan is a thrilling and safe recreational activity, designed based on a monorail, allowing speed adjustments for more excitement. Facilities include a 30-meter waterfall, family pavilions, a children’s playground, cycling paths, green areas, etc.
Lambsar Castle
Lambsar Castle is the most renowned castle in the Alamut region, situated just after the Eagle’s Nest or Hassan Sabbah Castle among places to visit in Tehran during winter. It lies in northern Qazvin plains, close to the village of Razmian.During the Ismaili period, this castle was used as a strategically significant and historically unique military fortress. It rises steeply on a mountain, surrounded by cliffs on three sides. The 150-meter castle features many rooms and cisterns. Its water supply comes from the Nenehrooz river.Nyak Stone Arch
Located 17 kilometers north of Qazvin, the village of Nyak features towering cliffs. This area is known as the Nyak stone arch, with large cavities forming when it rains. Locals believe that a palace was built by Mohammad Hanifeh atop the arch, though only pottery remains today.
Louizan Forest Park
Louizan Forest Park is one of the most beautiful forest parks in Tehran, located in the Shemiranat area. Established in 1961 to prevent urban sprawl, it covers an area of 1,000 hectares. Bird Garden
The Tehran Bird Garden is one of the largest bird gardens, covering 17 hectares and home to 168 species and 3,000 birds. It is located in northeast Tehran and developed in two phases. The first phase covers 5.5 hectares, while the second includes 16 hectares, dedicated to pasture birds.
In the second phase, tropical birds are featured in areas designed for birds of prey, including eagles, hawks, vultures, and owls. The project includes an Iranian garden, a botanical garden, and a greenhouse for ornamental plants, alongside aquatic and reptile areas.
Nature Bridge
The Nature Bridge is a tourist hotspot in Tehran, providing a delightful experience even in cold seasons. This 300-meter bridge connects Taleqani Park in eastern Tehran with the Water and Fire Park and Abbasabad lands in the west. It is surrounded by four major highways: Haqqani, Hemat, Modarres, and Resalat.
Tehran Waterfall
Tehran Waterfall is a notable attraction, built using natural materials to connect human life with nature while enhancing the foothills of Alborz mountains. At this recreational area, you can enjoy green spaces and clean air. Located opposite Chitgar Lake, it is accessible from Hemat highway towards west Tehran.
Magical Eight Pools
Standing next to the upper pavilion of the Tehran Waterfall, you can see eight small and large pools at varying elevations. Each pool is surrounded by different plants. Due to the height differences, the water flowing through creates waterfalls reaching up to 10 meters high.
Taar Lake in Winter
Among the Alborz mountains lie two small lakes, Taar and Hoveyr, which are freshwater mountain lakes. These lakes are not only stunning in summer but also have a unique beauty in winter. Located 30 kilometers east of Damavand at 2900 meters above sea level, if you plan a winter trip to these lakes, ensure you are well-equipped.
Tochal Ski Resort
Located in the northern Alborz mountains near Tehran, Tochal is a peak with an altitude of 3,962 meters, covered in snow during winter. This ski resort is the fifth highest ski area in the world and has facilities suitable for winter sports. The Tochal ski area opens from early November.
Barajin Tourist Area
Barajin tourist area, located at the base of the Alborz mountains in northern Qazvin, is a delightful spot with beautiful trees and the presence of the Earnazak river winding through the area’s height. This area stretches from the Qazvin-Zanjan highway to the foothills of the Central Alborz and is an exceptional family travel location, even during winter.
Norouz Park
Norouz Park is one of the largest parks in Abbasabad lands of Tehran, serving recreational, cultural, and leisure purposes over an area of more than 90,000 square meters. The park’s lake is 1.5 meters deep and features various sections representing different traditions within the ECO member countries, especially focusing on the “Norouz” traditions. It is situated in the western part of Shahid Modarres Highway.
Tehran Rooftop
Tehran Rooftop is a fascinating destination that draws many visitors with its clean mountainous air. It stretches from the end of Valankjak Street to the start of Tochal’s cable car. Here, Tehran looks small beneath you, and there are ample recreational facilities. Keep in mind that it can get quite cold in winter, so dress warmly for your visit.
Erm Park
Erm Park is the largest amusement park in Iran, covering around 70 hectares, located five kilometers west of Tehran. It includes a zoo with over 121 animal species, making it the largest zoo in the capital. Established in the early 1970s by Asadollah Khoram, it retains his name after the revolution and was later transferred to the Foundation of the Oppressed. The park features an 8-hectare lake perfect for boating and water skiing competitions, with key sections including Erm Zoo, Amusement Park 1, 2, and 3.
