Aref Aghasi began his professional football career in 2014 at the age of 17. He first joined Foolad Novin and played there until 2015.
In 2015, he attracted the attention of Esteghlal Khuzestan and joined the team, where he spent six years and won the Hazfi Cup championship with Foolad.
