Gaining peace in personal and shared life and resolving problems with divine verses
The supplications and divine verses we will mention, taken from the prophets and Imams, lead to gaining peace in personal and shared life and solving problems.
Humans are infinitely seeking and desire absolute perfection, but since everything other than God is limited and temporary, they do not find comfort. Prayer and divine remembrance are sources of tranquility. “And establish prayer for My remembrance.” (Those who believe and find comfort in the remembrance of Allah – indeed, by the remembrance of Allah hearts find comfort.)Surah Ar-Ra’d: Verse 28
Those who are guided are those who believe, and their hearts find peace in the remembrance of God. Know that only by remembering God do hearts find peace.
Whoever is forgetful of the remembrance of God has no peace, and a life without peace is a miserable life.
“And whoever turns away from My remembrance, indeed, he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind.”
In a narration from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), we read:
Indeed, he who approaches Allah with his heart, Allah will make the hearts of His servants inclined towards him with love and mercy. If you free yourself from worldly concerns, you have turned to God, and if this is the case, Allah will guide people’s hearts towards you, and you will become beloved to many.
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said:
I am amazed at someone who fears four things, yet does not seek refuge in four words!
1. A person overcome by fear should seek refuge with “Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs” Surah Al-Imran, Verse 171.
2. Those who are saddened should recite “There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers” Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 87.
3. Those who have been deceived should recite “I entrust my affair to Allah; indeed, Allah is Seeing of [His] servants.” Surah Al-Ghafir, Verse 44.
4. For those seeking worldly possessions and beauty, it is better to recite “What Allah wills; there is no power nor strength except with Allah.” Surah Al-Kahf, Verse 39.
Surah Al-Hamd is a remedy for all physical and spiritual pains
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said:
Surah “Hamd” begins with the praise of God, has “Sincerity” in its middle, and ends with a prayer.
“Sadiq Al-Abba” said:
“If you read Surah Al-Hamd 70 times over a dead person and he comes back to life, do not be surprised.”(Usul al-Kafi)
It is narrated from Salma bin Muhammad that he heard from Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) saying:
Whoever Surah Al-Hamd does not heal them, nothing will heal them.(Khasais al-Quran, p. 48)
The beloved Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) said:
The virtue of Surah Al-Hamd is like the virtue of those who carry the Throne; whoever recites it receives a reward equal to the reward of the bearers of the Throne.(Mustadrak al-Wasail, v. 4, p. 330)
One of the most special points mentioned in this section of faith and religion by SelMagz is the narration from the Prophet of God (peace be upon him) that states: “Indeed, Allah has told me: O Muhammad, We have given you seven verses of repetition and the Great Quran.” So, He separated the Fatihah from the rest and favored me by placing it in front of the Great Quran.
In another narration of the Messenger of God (peace be upon him), it is stated:
If Surah Al-Hamd was placed on one side of the scale and all other Surahs of the Quran on the other side, Surah Al-Hamd would be seven times heavier.(Majma’ al-Bayan, v. 1, p. 36)
The Messenger of God (peace be upon him) said:
Whoever recites Surah Al-Hamd, Allah will reward them according to the number of all the Books that have been revealed from the Heaven.(Al-Ikhtisas, p. 39)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
Surah Al-Hamd has been read over every pain, and surely it will bring comfort (Quran as a treatment for body and soul, p. 62) and…
Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him) said:
I heard from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: “Indeed, Allah has said to me: O Muhammad, We have given you seven verses of repetition and the Great Quran.” So, He separated the Fatihah and favored me by placing it in front of the Great Quran.
Prayers for relieving and dispelling fear and anxiety
A person came to Imam Ja’far Sadiq (peace be upon him) and said: “In moments of solitude, I become terrified and sorrowful, but I do not feel this way among people.”
The Imam said:
First, place your hand on your heart and say: In the name of Allah.
Then, stroke your heart and say seven times:
I seek refuge in the might of Allah, I seek refuge in the power of Allah, I seek refuge in the mercy of Allah, I seek refuge in the majesty of Allah, I seek refuge in the greatness of Allah, I seek refuge in the gathering of Allah, I seek refuge in the Messenger of Allah, and I seek refuge in the names of Allah from the evil I fear and from the evil I fear for myself.
The person did as instructed and then said: “By the grace of Allah, my fear and anxiety have been removed, and I have found peace.”(Bihar al-Anwar, v. 95, p. 138)
