Baran Arjomand, the talented young Iranian athlete in table tennis, was born in 2009.
In response to where Baran Arjomand is from, she was born in Bandar Gaz, Golestan Province, and is considered one of the top female athletes from northern Iran, recently trending in the news.
Arjomand is one of the national representatives from the 2000s generation, who was sent abroad as a member of the national under-15 girls’ table tennis team for competitions but decided not to return to her country.

It has been reported that, while she had also received her boarding pass, she asked for help from the Danish police and did not return to Iran with her team; the reasons for her decision remain unclear.

Statement from the Table Tennis Federation regarding Baran Arjomand
Baran Arjomand, the under-15 national representative of Iran, was present at the World Championship in Sweden and left the team after the competition ended.
This young athlete left her team without informing or coordinating with the federation, approaching the police in Copenhagen after the championship and going out of contact with her team officials, despite the standard protocols being followed for all athletes.
After the federation officials learned of this incident, they promptly pursued the matter through Iran’s embassies in Sweden and Denmark, contacting the athlete’s family. Currently, efforts are ongoing to find out her situation.
According to this report, Arjomand had been eliminated in the individual competition in the round of 64 and in the doubles competition in the round of 32.
