To report a landline fault or disconnection, the landline outage system is active. The outage reporting number for Tehran, Karaj, Mashhad, and Isfahan are the same nationwide, which is 20117. All users across Iran can call this number; just remember to add the area code. For example, for Tehran, dial 02120117; for Karaj, dial 02620117. You can also track your landline disconnection by dialing the USSD code #2020*.
How to Report Landline Fault Using USSD Code
To use the USSD code #2020*, you do not need to enter the operator’s area code. You can dial directly from any line, whether MCI, Irancell, or RighTel. First, dial #2020* and wait a moment for the service menu to appear.
Then, enter 1 to select “Telephone” and press Send.
Next, choose option 1 for “City” and then enter 3 to “Report Fault.” Enter your landline number along with the area code in the provided field and press Send.
After successful registration, a message will display: “Dear customer, your number has been successfully added to the outage list,” and you will receive a confirmation SMS from the telecommunications company.
Finally, wait for a technician or telecom staff to contact you for the next steps to fix your landline issue and track the outage repair process.
